平安神宮神苑の花菖蒲(The iris of Heian Shrine)

今年は開花が早く昨年と同時期に行ってみるとすでに最盛期は過ぎていて、
寂しさが漂う菖蒲園だった

Flowering is fast this year, when I visit at the same time as last year, the peak season has passed already.

突然鴨が歩道橋に上がり、再び池に戻って行きました

(Suddenly the duck climbed the pedestrian bridge and went back to the pond again.)

 

 

 

 

 

花菖蒲に替わって睡蓮が咲き始めました

(Water lily begins to bloom in place of iris. )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

花菖蒲の最盛期は逸したがいつ来ても、何度訪れても美しい庭園で心安らぐ所である

 

Although the heyday of iris was missed, no matter how many times you visit, it is a relaxing place with a beautiful garden.
