甘茶の花(Sweet tea flowers)

京都建仁寺の塔頭の一つである霊源院に甘茶の花が咲いています
甘茶の花は額紫陽花と酷似していて見分けがつけにくい
寺の人の説明では飲めるのが甘茶で飲めないのが紫陽花とのこと

Sweet tea flowers are blooming at Reigenin Temple which is sub temple of Kyoto Kenninji.
The sweet tea flower is very similar to forehead hydrangea and it is difficult to distinguish.

カルガモのお母さんが子供達に泳ぎを教えようとしています
子供達はお母さんの号令一下キビキビと行動をしています
ほほえましい姿に時間のたつのを忘れてしまいそうです

The mother of Kalgamo is about to teach children the swim.
Children are acting with the mother's decree under the millet.
People  do not get tired  to looking at a smiley appearance.

さあ! 今から水の中に入るよ(Now I will start practicing swimming now.)

波が来たときはこのように泳ぐのだよ(When the waves come, you swim like this.)

 

 

 

波も過ぎ去り再び穏やかな水面になりました(The waves were gone and it got a calm water again.)

両足院の半夏生(Hangesho of Ryosokuin Temple)

二十四節季七十二候の第三十候が半夏生の日、夏至から数えて１１日目です
その頃に葉が白くなり花が咲く植物が半夏生(半化粧)
京都建仁寺の塔頭「両足院」の庭に咲く半夏生はよく知られています
時期的に少し早いので半夏生ならぬ三分の一夏生でしたが手入れの良い庭園は
日頃の雑踏から逃れ心を癒やすには余りあるほどでした

From late June through summer every year, "hangesho" leaves around the pond in the "Shoin Garden" turn a lovely white color and drape the garden with beauty.
Ryosokuin temple is also known as the "hangesho temple".
